I bought a Cateye Micro. For £40ish it is a great little gizmo.0

The Boardman one is £50 and includes cadence and altitude. It is also wireless to both sensors. Mine was simple to set up and has performed faultlessly .Boardman Elite SLR 9.2S

Can highly recommend the wireless cateye strada. Had one on each of my last three bikes. Very easy to fit, simple to use and gives you all the info you need. Can be had for less than £40.0

I was gonna go with one of them but read terrible reviews about them and didn't like the wired cadence sensor.
I have bought enough Cateye Micros to last me a lifetime as I have had bikes nicked with the sensors on.
I have 2 bikes and the Micro has a 2 bike set up. Unfortunately you only get one fitting kit!
I simply flogged the redundant computer on Ebay. Still cost me about £45 for 2 bikes though.0 -

Did you know that you can buy spares (sensors, mounting kits etc) for the Cateyes from Wiggle? I bought an extra sensor when I bought my Micro as it looked like the sort of thing I'd easily lose...I haven't yet!Where would you be if you fell down a hole?.. Stuck down a hole... in the fog... I like to see my altitude and maximum vertical climb when on my mtb and really like seeing my cadence when on my road bike.
The second bike fitting kit (two sensors and bar mount) was a present so I don't know how much it was. It is easy to change between bike one and bike two and records totals for each.Boardman Elite SLR 9.2S

Would be better to know what you intend to use it for.
Do you want cadence and altitude, or just the time?
to be honest I'm not sure what I need,I'm looking to start cycling to get fit, join a club and do regular club runs and maybe a few TT,my local club runs average 15-17 mph for 50/60 miles so that's my first target-so distance, average speed and time are my first considerations, however I am happy to be advised by people who know more than me-which is about everybody on hereSpecialized Secteur Elite-short fat bloke on a light fast bike0 -
Cateye Strada Wireless.

I've had 2 Cateyes now and they are reliable and easy to fit and give me everything I want from a computer, except maybe altitude, but I can get that from MapMyRide on the iphone.Limited Edition Boardman Team Carbon No. 448

Another vote for Cateye Strada Wireless - but if you do get one make sure it is firmly fitted to the mounting unit as they can easily come off.0
