Some people just don't seem to know how lucky they are do they? Health, wealth, fame, he could even afford an Ibis if he wanted. What a fuckwit ! Get a grip man instead of tweeting clever little wittisisms on line ! :?

Reduced internet traffic, free publicity for particular technology companies (who I expect sponsor some of his tweets) and one less luvee would be reduced if he was not here.

    I can't stand the man. :(

Aaaaand, you realise he's had bouts if intense depression, where he basically locked himself away from the world?
And he's also got a wicked sense of humour.

    You're a fucking idiot.

I'm going to state it here, as I have stated it many places before, and most of my friends are aware: I fully intend to kill myself some day, unless I die doing something stupid beforehand (probably involving a motorbike). Not some day soon, but I don't intend to live long enough for my mental faculties to fail and my body to become decrepit. I'd much rather have a quick, relatively painless death while in full possession of my mind and my health than to have an elongated downward spiral. You presumably intend to live until you're old and frail, which is fine. But if you can't accept that some people won't want that, you need to learn to see other viewpoints.

Bet she'd love to see your view on the condition expressed in this thread.

And i do know a lot about the condition; i nearly dated a girl whose mother has quite bad bipolar and seeing what it did to the both of them was pretty intense. She has to live with the constant fear that her mother might have a bout of depression and even kill herself, and might not even being going to uni just to look after her.

How is Stephen Fry any different to that? You don't know what goes on. I suggest you stfu consider why people are reacting to you in the way they are.

I don't see what's so crazy about it anyway. Reaching 75, having enjoyed a few years of retirement, seen your grandkids grow up, made a pretty good go of it all round then popping off to a Swiss clinic isn't that much of a bad idea.

I don't like the guy (due to some of the reasons mentioned above) but you're clearly an arsepiece that just doesn't have a clue about depression and the consequences of it.

RallyBiker know anyone who's killed themself? My mate ended his life back at the start of April.

He had a good job, plenty of cash to splash on bikes, boats and whatever he fancied. But he wasn't happy and in the end he decided that it wasn't going to get any better for him.

I don't like the fact that he's gone, really wish he was still around but I respect what he did and his reasons for it, if someone feels they want to or will want to end their life some day who the fuck are you to judge or criticise.

    Did he live in Rhyl?

    Is his bike for sale?

    .....or his boat?

I don't often lock threads in here. But I'd appreciate it if people who don't understand bipolar disorder would keep quiet until they understand the facts.
