I'll watch women's tennis anwyay though, without being massively taxed for it, and being charged several hundred quid to take part in a random lottery.

    PRO TIP:
There's quite often women's tennis on Eurosport at breakfast time. Awesome 8)

Which is why I always strive to be in work by half ten, at the earliest, unless there's some special circumstances

£450 to watch the track cycling finals. Seriously?

I'd sooner spend the money on a projector, sky plus, fresh tin of white paint, black out blinds, several crates of beer and bacon and call it an investment.

I’m with yeehaa - its as good as seeing my money go down the drain!

Who the fook would be dumb enough to pay for something that they don't know what it is, they don't know how much it costs, and they already paid for it once? That's why I don't agree with schools charging for dinner, uniform and books.

Except you do have some idea what you've paid for.....because you had to apply for it.

It's not like you stick £500 in an envelope with a request for "some tickets" and they send back whatever they can find lying around.

You see how much everything costs and say "I want tickets for womens gymnastics, dressage, judo and womens beach volleyball" they charge you for what you've said you want that they're able to give you. And then they tell you that you've got Judo and dressage, which is fine because that's what you asked for.

They do if you break them or lose them, even if it was an accident.

So if the school lend you a book and you wreck it or don't give it back then you have to pay for it? Look after them then.....

To be honest, that seems pretty fair.

It would, but we already bought them in the first place, and the school just wasted thousands of pounds on a stupid perimeter fence, they should spend it on something useful instead.

Replacing books lost or damaged by stupid children is something useful?
    Balls to that.
Those books have been bought by all of us, for all kids to use and learn. If one little cnut damages or loses it (even by accident), then let the onus of replacement fall on them and their family.

A perimeter fence that probably saves a lot of money in security/repairs to vandalism?

What do you mean "we already bought them".

Wouldn't need them if they put the bike racks somewhere where someone can see them.
And it's not like the fence stops anyone, it's not that high, people climb straight over it when the football gets out.
