Full Carbon or Carbon Alloy Aero Wheels

I am considering getting a set of FFWD 60mm Aero clincher wheels, there are two options, Full carbon or Carbon with Alloy braking rim. Other than the hassle of changing brake blocks is there any reason to choose one over the other?

Looking at the standard F6R (FFWD hubs).
Weight -
Tubular 1355g
Clincher 1835g (alu braking surfaces)
I don't see an option for Carbon rimmed clinchers on the FFWD website (may have made them last year and discontinued).
If they have discontinued the Carbon clincher then I would take that as a hint...
Otherwise as a guide (I'm sure there are exceptions) Alu Clinchers weigh more than Carbon Clinchers weigh more than Carbon Tubs. Braking on Alu is better.0 -
Better braking on alloy rims.
What are you using them for ?0 -
According to the rep. they are available as a full carbon rim. I want them because they look good on the bike and I already have a good lightweight set of low profile rims that can be used when it is more hilly than flat.

The full carbon clinchers appear to be only 45 mm deep. Bit porky for that depth, compared to,say, American Classics.0

You want them for looking good ? Borrow some ultra flash wheels and take pics of your bike clad in them.
Then just ride whatever wheels you have as nobody will be able to tell, or be bothered what wheels you have.0 -
Wtf? If you just want them for looking good borrow some smart ones, take pictures, then put the ones you already have back on!!
Oh. It's already been said.
Unless racing dong worry about wheels, if racing, don't worry about wheels until you get good.0 -

Because I'm freaking AWESOME.
Same reason I had Zipps.
Unfortunately I had to sell them due to a freaking massive pay cut and birth of third child.0
