Nice bike mate, how does it ride?

Got it to replace the Scott Addict I didn't take to listed below.

I didn't realise I missed Campag so much.
Chorus is a tad heavier than Force but so much nicer to use IMO.
Had some Easton wheels before and liked them so went for another set with a few extra spokes to help with my current bulk. Found the Eastons a bit comfier than the Neutrons I was considering also (had a 2 pairs of them in my time too !). The stems and bars are quality and a good price on t'Ebay.
All in all the build is exactly what I wanted, no compromises anywhere really (course I'd have liked Super Record and carbon wheels but this is the real world with 2 kids) and it runs just nicely for my needs. My fitness is badly lacking this year but I'm sure this beauty will get me back on the bike more often again.
    Bring on the sunshine.

None of the Far East groupsets gets near Chorus, let alone Record or Super Record.

Fantastic ride out today just north of Derby round Matlock, Winster, Wirksworth area and thought I'd take some pics of the Scapin with it's new wheels, stem and hoods.

And how do I get the pics the right size so you don't have to scroll to view the whole bike ?

And a picture to show you just how great the riding is in the Derbyshire !
When the weathers like this you don't need Majorca (but then it's not very often is it which makes you appreciate it when it is)

  • One word, white better than red.

    Frans-Jacques

    I agree.
New white cables are planned for next Spring - the red thing didn't quite come off, could change the hoods easily but cables is a bit of an expense so stuck with them for now.
