Caring for "carbon-wrapped" seatpost

I've just bought an FSA SL-240 CSI SBS Seatpost from CRC - it was on offer, looked nice and was the right size.

Quick question though, if it's the same seatpost as reviewed here: http://www.bikeradar.com/gear/category/ ... ost-31359/

It seems to indicate that it is in some way "carbon-wrapped" - will I need to look after it in any sort of special way? Different lube/grease?

It'll be going into a Kona Blast (Aluminium frame), if that makes any difference.

No grease. The lacquer will scratch easily, so clean the seat tube up to clear out any grit or whatever.
  • Great thanks, I like the idea of no grease - it fits with my normal idea of maintenance.

Will thoroughly clean seat-tube first :)
