Following on from the success of the Jodrell Bank Cyclosportive that we run in March we have decided to add a summer event. We have come up with a new longer route which skirts around the famous Jodrell Bank Radio Telescope.
We have got a 100 mile and 100km routes around the leafy Cheshire lanes. Good quality quiet roads, stunning scenery and very flat. Fast times will be the order of the day.
Well signed route we even mark the roads, downloadable route cards and gps files. All to keep you on course
High 5 feeding stations well stocked with energy gels, bananas, sports drinks on tap, water, flap jakes etc. We also give out gels and energy bars before you set off.
Belgian style hot dogs 'bradwurst' along with a free tea or coffee at the finish.
Electronic timing. Motorcycle Marshals and support vehicles to look after everyone.
The venue is Poynton Leisure Centre, Yew Tree Lane, Poynton, Stockport, Cheshire.
Registration opens at 7.00am
Event starts at 8.00am until 9.00am

Judging by the plethora of bad press the Dragon ride has had, the UK 'fun' aka sportive events organisers really ought to pull their socks up.
I am doing the local tour ride in September and boy... as that has been 'bigged up' by various people who have a vested interest, it better be run like a swiss watch.
