Hello...
I am very fortunate to have a place in the Black Mountains in Herault , South of France.. lots of awesome riding around..
but im this summer going to do a few drive outs and 'try' to take in a few of the famous tour climbs... im goping to do Ventoux which is about 3 hours from me.. and al in the St Girons area... the Tourmelet, Luz Ardien, Hautacam and the Col d'abisque..
Any advice on the best starting points ? routes etc....
any feedback would be most welcome...
Steven

I'm guessing that the climbs you mention would be about 4 hours from you. Argeles-Gazost is best place to base yourself to ride them.
