Amazing stuff. Landed it better than I land a 6 inch drop off!

Actually, it WAS an epic fail. He was going to just ride next to the ramp, but cocked it up.0
-
There were clearly other riders there he could feed off.

Death would have been so much coolerWhat if your dreams and fears existed in the same place? What if to get to heaven, you had to brave hell? What if everything you've ever wanted cost you everything you've ever achieved? Would you still go there?0 -
i love how he felt he had to pedal down the ramp0

in 2 minds about this, it's immensly impressive, but after steven murray multiple flips should be shunned.
reckon he should probably be wearing more safety gear too.0 -

he paralized himself trying it in a competition

Ah. Bad one. However, I don't think that's a reason to shun multi flips. These tricks are dangerous, and the riders try to pull them off in full knowledge of that.
Banning dangerous tricks would just get in the way of progression.0 -
Completely agree with yeehaa.
Someone got (badly) injured doing a stunt they knew full well was dangerous and you think that's reason to "shun" tricks of that type in future? :?
Should trail centres be banned too then? or DH racing? There have been plenty of bad accidents involving both of those.
As for the safety equipment thing, that's the riders choice. Perhaps he felt that the extra weight and restricted movement coming from safety gear made the trick LESS safe. Perhaps he didn't feel like current safety gear would offer any degree of protection against his neck driving into the ground with the kind of force it would be.
More likely though, he was so supremely confident in his talent he didn't feel he needed it.0 -

I'm so glad I don't have the balls or skill to do something like that Brilliant though.Uncompromising extremist0

You've not got a good accident in you!
I agree with yeeha. Should we ban road racing after Weylandt died in the Giro? It's an accepted risk.0 -

Riding to Motley Crue should be shunned. It's entirely uncalled for.0
