Shimano XT M775 brake problem

Hi,
My rear brake has never been that wonderful but this morning whilst out it failed, not 'instantly' but I just lost more and more power until it completely stopped working. There is now no resistance in the lever movement.
I've tried to bleed it but the pistons just are not working, they move a tiny amount but won't close, a small amount of fluid will come out occasionally but nothing like I would expect. There is no obvious leaking elsewhere.
I can't find on the net a service kit for the lever, I'm hoping that there is as I'm not keen on buying a new pair!
Any ideas and/or advice would be really appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
