Hey All!
Ok, recenlty got a new job, where there is a Ride To Work scheme.
I have a budget of £1000, which I can't exceed.
Which would be the best bike for touring, long sportives and generally using for distance.
Eyelets would be preferable, but not nessessary. So, for £1000 maximum, what can I get?
My current is a Specialized Secteur 2010. Lovely bike, but John O'Groats to Lands End finsihed it off, and as I only paid £400 for her, and already paid out £100, and need to now fork out £200 on it...
I'm also about 100kg, so not the most featherweight of cyclists.
So, I'm going to take advantage of the works Ride to Work scheme.
I need:
A bike which will last at least 18months
A bike that costs no more than £1000
A bike that won't die on me after 4months, and around 2000 miles.
All feedback would be much appreciated!
Steve
