Hi, Im planning to do the end to end next year and am looking for a bike that can carry lightesh loads but also be used for a training bike at other times. Im planning to stay in b+b's so dont think i will have to carry too much. Ive never done any touring so not sure what kit is needed either. Ive looked at the tifosi ck7 which says it can be used for light touring. Would it be suitable? Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks

The bike will do the job.

You need to mug up on some End to End specific forums where you will find all of the answers to your questions by reading through the previous postings.

Try the CTC web site at http://www.ctc.org.uk and examine the forums

There's also an End to End forum on the cyclechat message board.

CK7 is about right for B+B style touring. A similar contender is Kinesis TK2.
You can probably get your luggage into a Carradice saddlebag + a barbag with a map-holder. You wont need a rear luggage rack but the bike has the fittings and they are always useful to have.
