I know people who bought Trek's with XR2's fitted as standard & after much swearing none of them used them for more than two or three rides. Might be ok in dry conditions but any mud and they are useless.
The XR4's are great in all conditions, I have been using them for about 6 months & think they are great. I have also tried the Bontrager FR3 freeride tyres & they are terrible.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -
As above
Got these on my EX, rode them for the first time in muddy conditions, came straight off after that.
Put them back on when it was really dy and they were OK but back off now, wouldn't buy another pair.0 -
Ditto - fast rolling on dry hardpack but came off my Trek pretty much straight away. Ran an XR4 up front and a Maxxis HR on the back - seemed to work in most conditions...0
