I've just had a carbon Chinarello frame delivered from Flyxii that arrived without a headset. The ebay advert lists it as needing a integrated 1"1/4-1"1/8 headset, however two local bike shops have stated that there aren't any headsets they know of available in the uk that will fit it. Can those with a chinarello frame advise what you fitted to yours.

  • Unless I'm missing something here, the advert states that the headset is included. If that's the case I'd contact them.

Tapered headsets are fairly common e.g. the current Cannondale road frames:

I'd suggest the bike shops either don't want to touch the Chinarello or they aren't up to date with technology.

Tapered headsets are very common on MTBs, so I suspect you just need to search a bit more. Here's one:

they need to get out more.

    the FSA Orbit C-40
    as is the No.42/ACB
    and the Orbit CF-40
    and No.42 CF/ACB are available.

the Orbit C-40-CX May but is not suitable.

BUT when the bearings wear just replace them.
