Giro fair play classification

was just reading the results of yesterday's stage and came upon this list of scores. Can anyone explain how the fair play thing is scored, and why are saxo so far in last place? Do they count Contador's dominance as rudeness to others?

It's to do with fines for hanging onto cars, drafting, breaking the little rules that we don't often see on camera.

Saxo are waaay down though - something to do with the mechanic and his door perhaps?

Fair Play

Finally, there is the Fair Play classification for teams. This is one where the more points the team has, the lower they are on the classification. It is scored using six criteria: A warning earns 0.50 points; a fine is worth one point for every 10 Swiss francs; a time penalty is worth two points per second; a declassification is worth 100 points; a disqualification/explusion is worth 1000 points; and a positive doping control is worth 2000 points. Penalties can be as mild as a warning for hanging onto the team car, a penalty for drafting on the cars, relegation for 'irregular sprinting' or as severe as expulsion for punching a spectator.

yes ive just seen the topic about this and it kind of explained that bit.

The Giro have loads of classifications for the strangest things. I do miss the Intergiro tho' with the maglia blu that Magnus won!
