Hi Folks.
Off to Seahouses over the half term break. Just wondered if it was permissable to cycle along the coastal footpath(s)?

    Have a look at the OS maps. if the paths are market as footpaths, then I'm afraid you can't. If they're marked as bridalways or BOATs (Biway Open to All Traffic, I think they're still called that ??) you can.

    That said, some of them may be surfaced and have cycle paths. I'm sure someone on here can help on that point.

    Enjoy your time up there. My old stamping ground. Some loverly places. If castles are your thing, visit Bamburgh, Walkworth, Alnwick and Dunstanburgh. Alnwick gardens is nice. The Farne Islands and Lindisfarne well worth a visit too. Enjoy!
