I have a pair of Exustar E-PM25 pedals on my new Carera Fury.
I have the set as far as the will go over to one side. yet both my feet keep striking the pedal crank arms pretty much every other revolution.

Would it be worth changing my pedals for something like the Crank Brothers Egg Beater type pedals. Or is there anything else on the market with a longer pedal shaft.

Is this a common problem?

the last time i had these pedals on, was on my hybrid bike i no longer have. they were only on a day. cos in this case my heels kept striking the rear frame

PS my feet are only a size 9

Sounds like the pedals, I use Shimano M520's and a pair of Xpedo clipless, I have size 11G shoes (aka Canoe's - big feet - big.....shoes!) and never have heel or any other rub issue.
