Guerciotti Twister Self Build

Bought the frame from Planet X for £200 at the beginning of the year and built it it up myself trying to keep the budget as low as possible whilst not making too many compromises. I saved some money by using the Brake Calipers, Saddle and Wheels from my previous bike. Unfortunately it does mean at the moment that the Tyres don't really match the rest of the bike. These will be replaced when the old ones wear out, though not sure if I should go for white or black ones. Overall the build cost me a lot less than a Boardman Comp.
In terms of ride it is much better than my previous Alu framed bike. It is more comfortable and yet stiff at the same time. So now for the pics and build list:

Sorry to be picky, front wheel is on the wrong way Nice bike though. Have been looking at the frames myself.0

QR's should be on the left not the right0

Lovely bike, those Guerciotti frames on Planet X are so tempting... I have no need whatsoever for a new bike but I must admit to hovering over the buy button :?0

On disc brake bikes it matters which way the QR is on, but on a road bike it doesn't.
Sorry he mis-informed you.0 -
I really like this frame. Classic lines, nice short head tube.
The QR thing is just aesthetics... technically there's no bother.Ben

Lovely bike.
FYI MountainMonster the QR should be on non drive side.
Not essential but Euro rules and fashion dictate this is the way to go.0 -

It's a good job that someone pointed out this fundamental mistake before I made a fool of myself posting these photos on a public forum. I didn't realise that QR etiquette was such a controversial issue.0

Not white tires, they stay white for maybe 2 minutes, and then after a spin in the car park outside the shop where people try the bikes, they turn a grey cream colour. black is the way forward!Trek Madone 3.5 (RS80s, Arione)

How do you find the KCNC SC Pro seat post? Does it remove road buzz as claimed?

Can NOT believe you have your front QR that way round. SHAMEFUL. I suggest you sell the bike now.0
