Anyone got any ideas about a classic wheelset that will take an 8 speed campagnolo cassette?

My riding buddy has just bought a Bianchi with Record/Chorus 8speed on it. It came with a very smart looking set of Campag Atlanta wheels. Don't know what year they are from or where you might find them but they looked ace.Norfolk, who nicked all the hills?

FWIW you can't fit an 8 speed cassette to 9/10/11 speed freehub - the spline pattern is different. However, the easy fix is to take an 9-speed cassette, drop the big sprocket and fit a 8 speed spacer kit.
If you want something classic-looking wheels, try some Ambrosio Zenith hubs built with a silver shallow-section rim like Ambrosio Excellence.
Campagnolo Atlantas are is fact a semi-deep polished alloy rim, long since discontinued and pretty hard to find these days - they build into nice, strong wheels. Another option is Mavic CXP30s.Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0 -
