One of my favourite spots, also great in winter when you can roll off the rock straight out onto a frozen lake.

Ok, its been a week and nobody lives near a high bridge, so
new challenge: Your bike covered in balloons should be easy enough as you don't even have to leave the house, However you will receive the three throbbing rogers award if your game enough to ride downtown with all balloons in place and get the photo there.

Damn it! I just went out this morning to get it done. I'll try for the balloons when the kids are asleep. They're only going to spoil me fun. "Get your own fracking baloons!"

I'm sure bike on a high bridge will do if you have it. At least share it, since you went to the effort.

Ok, it's hardly hundreds of ft straight down, but still a fair way up from the road level as you can see!

I hope that pleases the masses! Right. Balloons! I might go for that one on monday at work. I challenge someone to beat me to it!

Good effort getting up to the high bridge so you can pick the next challenge or you can stick with balloons if you like.

  • The rules say your challenge stands. I hope to get it done early this week at work, so I have a few days to think of a fun challenge!

    Cheers!

  • To the right.

    To the left.

I went out to get a picture of the changing seasons and you know what? There wasn't anything really good, or my not very artistic eyes didn't spot the oportunity.
Took these as it was on my last couple of miles home. There are signs, the bracken has started to die, some leaves are turning and the grass is lying down. Pictures were taken from the same spot hence the left and right. That always gives me a dilema, so if these are ok the next challenge is Your bike in a pic with a fork/xroads on a trail

    Nevermind, missed a particular rule.
  • Photos have to be taken for the challenge, not trawled up from your pc.
    See page 1, rules.
On a side note, It is the actual fork/xroads not a signpost.

As I said the trail is where the signpost was, the sign just emphasises the fact its there as it'd been hard to see otherwise as its just grass.

Oh and didnt see that particular rule (although could have easily lied ;)). ergo it doesnt stand.
  • Spent a couple hours at Croft Woods after college. So much fun in the dark!

    Big guy; small air!
  • If that's a win, how about your bike preparing for halloween. For example, surrounded by bags of sweets, next to a pumpkin. Even wearing a mask, whatever.

So if fletch8928's photo and suggestion of a fork/xroads photo was no good then thegiantbiker's photo of a fork and autumn must win :)
I'm off to find a pumpkin.

  • Nah, the fork was just so my bike was in the photo, it was meant to be an autumn photo.

The reason it was close in on the fork was I had to balance the camera on a picnic table to keep it steady in the dark (long exposure needed).

Considering the challenge was for a pic of your bike on a trail that has a fork or crossroads in it, I was bemused as to why bigstu thought that a pic of a bike lent up against a table with an autumn background was a win, my pic wasn;t any good as it was an old photo not a new one for this challenge.

Regardless lets just keep it moving along, I want to see a bike dressed up in big white lady pants.
  • I thought it was the one with the autumn leaves that got denied so we were still going for that. Tbh, I was confused as to which challenge was still standing, so I just went out and took some photos I liked.

But anyway, I agree, let's let the current challenge go or else we'll have ages with no activity again.

  • A gentleman shouldn't say; that said a gentleman probably shouldn't be posting pictures of his lady's most intimate of garments...
  • New challenge please.

Buses here in North Queensland don't like bikes (unless they are hood ornaments)

  • Well I didn't say it had to be in the bus

Sorry I had in my head this was running until Sunday. Ok new challenge, your bike next to a piece of sculpture.
  • No good here either!

Q: What's the difference between Yoghurt and Australia?
A: Given enough time, yoghurt will develop it's own culture!

The similarities between North Queensland and the deep south of the good ole USofA are quite impressive. I'm not suggesting anything about rednecks and inbreeding! Or am I?!

The 'done' thing here at the moment is to have a big F off rock in place of a sculpture!
