Would you be trying to achieve?
Switching to a FSA carbon crankset on the other hand would save you weight...0 -
I have 2011 105 on my Ribble Winter Trainer and 2011 Ultegra on my Cannondale Super Six. There's nothing between them apart from a few grams weight saved.
2011 105 is very good.
If you're intent on spending money, get some better wheels.0 -
I wouldn't bother, 105 is good groupset. If you were, go for Dura Ace. If you had a Sora then that's another matter..Say... That's a nice bike..

I certainly wouldn't bother upgrading the whole groupset. If you want to upgrade then replace bits that wear out ie cassette but other than that as others have said wheels and tyres are the way to go.Norfolk, who nicked all the hills?

Pretty pointless upgrade unless your 105 is old and shonky. If the 105 is not the latest version then all you'd probably notice is the hood shape changes with Ultegra but even then some people prefer the old shape. If you really wanted a change from 105 I'd look at SRAM Force instead.0

Expensive upgrade if your kit is working. You'd definitely not notice any weight saving - even if you did get an FSA carbon chainset.0
