Cwm Rhaeadr + Natural Loop (Mallaen)
Evening all,
Myself and a group of friends are spending a weekend down at Brechfa this coming Bank Holiday weekend, and I've been recommended to try Cwm Rhaeadr red trail as well, whilst we are in the area, plus doing a little more research some people on other forums have suggested a natural loop called Mynydd Mallaen and combining it with the red trail at Cwm Rhaeadr?
Basically can anyone suggest which direction is best to do this natural loop. I've got the OS for the area as well as Memory Map. Is it best to start the loop in a CW direction from either one of the two byways (Cwn-Fran-fawr or Glangwenlais) or start it in Cwn Rhaeadr and take it on in a CCW direction?
Also any idea how long this loop is and what to expect, conditions, hike a bike etc... etc...
Thanks for all your help,
Cheers,
Shaun
