Hi all,

I've got a Scott Yecora (2004/2005?) that I've been using for communting this year - most of the kit on it is still original but I think its probaby time to give it some TLC it desrves.

The front cog says Shimano IG chain only - I don't think they make them now. Any ideas for a suitable replacement? Given the level of chain wear  any ideas on a suitable replacement casette (8 speed) and finally - what brake pads - the spec I found said Shimano Mo8 and there are non Shimano alternatives - or should I be looking for a different SKU

Thanks in advance

IG chainset will work fine with HG chains, just make sure the 'Speed' is the same (8) and any decent HG cassette.
And it's V-Brakes yeah? Any block will fit, spec to your budget.

IG was shimano's mtb range, hg was road - now there smudged together?

Thinks for that - I'll have a look this weekend.

On the brakes front its a cable disc - blocks would be a lot easier!!
