MBR £100 challenge

Was flicking through my MBR mag today and noticed in the letters page they will be doing a £100 challenge next month! Should be interesting!

Anyone know when it comes out or does anyone 'in the know' have an idea what bikes they are going to be using? They did mention a Rockrider (not which one mind)

    They should do a "supermarket showdown". Grab the closest thing to a £100 bike form supermarkets and highstreet outlets like argos, and have at them.

    Ultimately though, despite the good fun, it'll be a waste of paper, nobody buying MBR is going to rush out and buy the winner, it'll tell the magazine's readers what they already know, you get what you pay for.

    I thought they might include 2nd hand bargains aswell. It would be good to see what kind of fun or spec of bike can be had when buying from somewhere like ebay or the small ads.

    Im sure the Gadget Show did exactly this a couple of months ago; albeit in their terribly annoying style.

    Still it was interesting to see which of the twenty or so cheap supermarket bikes held up to the trails. It might still be availble on the FIVE website...
