They should have been searching the bus in California, not in Italy.

Man, the shack are so evil.

They should look to lampre or katusha for tips on how to run a clean team
Fckin' Quintana … that creep can roll, man.

Radioshack will not want any other negativity surrounding them this week.

Can you imagine the raised eyebrows if say 1 or 2 of their older riders rode the whole field off their wheels in any upcoming stage races !!!!

I'd imagine Taylor Phinney's breathing a pretty heavy sigh of relief after his decision to sign with BMC

Judging purely on their performances over the past two and a bit weeks, RS are probably one of the cleaner teams in the Giro.

Are you including Popo's break a day in that?

More rubbish does not equal cleaner. Look at Disco 2006!

There has got to be some questions about the horner performance the other day in Cali.

Dr Ferrari claiming that Horner is producing higher values then Contador is just crazy talk.. unless....

If you're calling that performance unacceptably high power, then you really need to have a massive problem with Wiggins at the Nat 10 who put out more w/kg for longer in a more compromised position (most people can increase their power on steep uphills where they can use more body weight)

The surprising thing about Horners (and other Radioshack guys) performance is not the w/kg they achieved, but how easily they rode the others off their wheel.

Ha,ha,ha. Better than Bertie? Frenchie won't be pleased.
It's supposed to be the testers taking the piss from the riders, not the other way around!
Chris Horner is the new Chris Reeve.

A great advert for linking the bio passport to power output.
    Zero, indeed.

I'd say the Horner and Levi's performances were based on that being their one and only goal of the season and both arriving in peak form ( which was only needed for one week) ... Not many othervriders ever treat a one week race as the highlight of the season ... Those 2 did as the tour holds nothing for them ...

Horner likely has one more year in him and made a good effort of showing his worth ... Likely someone like BMC or Leopard will pick him up when RS goes kapput ...

Levi, well he's done ... A token gift from Horner is all he has to show in the last 2 years ...

I wasn't calling it anything, just posting an interesting article. I'd seen the power output Wiggins did for the ten and had done the W/kg calc, little problem with it. Massive headwind wasn't it for the unsheltered section of the course? Headwind, for me, has a similar effect to gradient for upping the ave power output. (Do you follow @scienceofsport BTW?)

yep I follow em. For me a headwind reduces power output quite a bit - pretty sure it depends a lot on your exact pedalling dynamics.

Horner says ONLY Contador could drop him. So bearing in mind contador might be banned from this years tour. we might have one of the oldest riders at the age of 39 winning the tour. and if he can keep his form till the end of july then who knows. no wonder most of us are cynical when you see Baldy dropping people on Baldy
