Bristol to Reading Canal Trip - Accommodation suggestions
Hi guys,
Planning a bit of a jolly boys outing for me and a couple of mates for next month. The plan is to do Bristol to Reading along the Kennet & Avon canal. A nice gentle amble over 3 days stopping off at a nice ale house or 2 along the way.
Looking for recommendations for accommodation from anyone that’s done the trip or lives nearby. Our 2 stop overs look to be Devizes and Marsh Benham nr Newbury. Looking for B&B or pub/inn type accommodation for 3 30something lads the first night and 4 for the second (one can only get a pass from the wife for 2 days, tsk), cheap and cheerful is the idea, so don’t mind sharing twin or family rooms etc. Safe storage for the bikes will be a good idea too.
Also any recommendations of nice pubs to stop at along the way much appreciated too, real ale, proper cider and cheap grub will be the order of day.
