So here I am getting ready to join CTC and find theres a similar offer with British Cycling. What to do???? Are you a member of either?
British Cycling:
Membership Type Senior

Race Silver 36.00
Race Gold 64.00
Ride (Everyday Cycling) 24.00

CTC - 37.00
Choices - CTC:£37 or BC (Ride) £24? What do you think?

Having had both memberships i would go for the CTC as you get a very good magazine and they have their own organized events .

They both offer the same level of cover but the CTC are more active on the political front trying to improve cycling facilities etc etc.

The BC is good but more race orientated , you should see the racing rule book they sent me !

Sign up for London Cycle Challenge and BC Ride sub is £12 the year instead of £24.
I was also dithering between the two but this offer sold me instantly.

No need to actually be in London and so on, simply sign up.

member of both, but if I didn't occasionally race it would be CTC, good magazine (as already said) and good website, and I like to support their campaigning.

No, with neither but thinking of joining one.
I know thw CTC are annecdotally good with the legal assistance, was wondering BC memebership got you that too? if not probably worth teh premium for CTC.

    Does anyone know?
