streaming audio reorders?

anyone know any free streaming audio recorders? i had one but it was on a free trial and when it ran out it wouldn't let me play any of the stuff recorded :(

    Audacity. Works as an MP3 trimmer and will record whatever audio your PC is playing but you do need to fiddle around with the settings to get this to work. I have the same audio drivers etc on my PC as I did on my laptop and it worked straight away on my laptop but took 2 years on the PC before I checked the right box to get it to record the PC :oops:
    I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

    You running Vista or 7? If so, windows sound recorder should do the job.
