I don't usually do shout-outs, but I'm going to make an exception.
If anything goes wrong on the bike i usually have a fiddle with it and do my own minor repairs/adjustments, usually because i do not have a disposable income and the thought of spending mega bucks on my rusty heap of a bike gives me the hump. However recently i took a knock, Back wheel buckled, breaks disaligned, and gear cable gone, I dont like messing with the gears, and though i have a spoke key and sort out minor buckles, this looked to me to be beyond repair!
Round the corner i have the LBS South Wigston Cycle Centre in Leicestershire, they have a shop in Hinckley as well i think, ive so far avoided going in, being a bit of an idiot and buying the little bits and bobs from places like halfords, however this place does have a good reputation, people have always told me how good it is, the geezers in there are trained to the highest standard in Bike mechanics, but more importantly they love their cycling and cater for everybody. So off i went this morning, sulking about the size of the hole in my pocket these repairs would make....only to find that Trued wheel with several new spokes, gears recabled and tuned, and breaks perfectly alighned....£20
As i don't usually spend time in independant bike shops, im not sure about the average costs, but that seems like a bloody good deal to me, so if you need a decent shop, run by decent blokes in Leicestershire, then i couldnt recommend them enough!

Nice one LL. My LBS is really happy for you to go in and spend £££s on the card on all kinds of stuff, some of it useful but when some tw*t kicked some spokes out on my lovely old Raleigh racer outside my local I took the wheel down and they replaced spokes and trued it up lovely for a tenner! Nice guys for a chat when I'm lusting over a bike I can't afford as well.Ecrasez l’infame0
