broken suntour epicon knob

Hi

Was unpacking my bike which has suntour epicons on the front . Noticed the plastice knob on the bottom of the fork leg was shattered . What does it do ? Easy fix or should i not bother? Its the red bit of plastic like in this link

    It adjusts the rebound on the fork(the rate at which the fork returns)
    If you call greyville on 01543 251328 i'm sure they would send you a new one

    Will it doing any harm if its not in place ? Will cover up with something suitable till i can get a replacement

    Yep, they stock new ones for £5.95. My one shattered as well
