Hi everybody,
Anyone got any opinions on using high pressure washers to clean a MINI? I mean those lance-type things made by people like Karcher.
Cheers...

A mini? As in a car?

I've heard that pressure washers can be bad. The pressure is high enough to force water into the bottom bracket. If this is true or not I don't know. However for the same money you can buy a sponge and a lot of 'Muc-off" (or similar) and it will get the bike just as clean - if not cleaner.

(I'm hoping Mini is just a typo for bike :P )

My LBS told me to be really careful with pressure washers.

I actually don't think that they are particularly good for cleaning cars either

Pressure washers are great in the right places, downright damaging in others, a usefull helping of common sense is required when using one, especially the high pressure ones.
