Hi
decided on the Giant Anthem X4 as my first full suss
I have a bit of a dilemma, as I have never had fox forks before I asked the shop if they could change them for RoxShox which they will happly do for me
I can have either Reba dual air for £30 off price or Recon Gold air for £125 off price or stick with the Fox shocks :?
only reason for thinking of changing are that I service my Recon air fork on my current bike myself and would not be able to do this with the fox forks
I ride mainly Dartmoor no jumps and do not hammer along(to old for that lol)

run mine with the standard fox forks and it rides like a dream.

I spoke to a mobile bike mechanic and he stated that there was no good reason I could not service the fox forks myself, haven't actually done the research to find out what is actually involved though.

fox forks are great, light, strong and very easy to service yourself, one thing though best to change dust seals at least 3 times a year, but its so easy to do 30 mins job

If 'a lot' = 100+ miles per day that might be about right, otherwise, it sounds like a load of bull to me... :?

i love the fox forks on my anthem x4 and i think they're at least twice as good/plush as the rebas i have on my rock lobster.
