Hi,
I am looking into upgrading my BB5s to Avid Elixirs and am not sure if I need to buy all new rotors for the brakes as well, or if they are interchangable (in general as well as specifically for the ones I mentioned)
Thanks!
Nik C

use whatever you want. they are just Avid rotors.
some are not usable with all brakes though."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Are they not resin only? worth checking as some are not suitable for tougher pads.0

what do you mena diy? The rotors are metal, or am I missing some spec and rotors are formulated for some soecific brake pad materials? god - i've been cycling for coming up tp 40 years, and it is getting more scientific by the minute ...

My Shimano ones say for resin pads only. Always used sintered with no problems. Just ignore it.I don't do smileys.

The resin only rotors I am guessing are made of softer metal. I ran Sintered on a bike with cable disc brakes and the discs grooved really quickly to the point I was getting through a set of pads in about 2 weeks0
