Cool, retro and sometimes downright rude MTB and cycling themed T shirts. Just MTFU.

Just been into my local (to work) store - Emersons Green, Bristol.

    They have loads of stock.

Got myself the little spares/tool kit, some socks and some gloves.

    Cheaper than chips

The 25 quid toolkit is a great starter set.

I have that toolkit and it's very handy for 90% of jobs I'd want to do at home.

I went down today. I wish they'd had some jerseys. The last ones were great. But the gloves they had in were pretty horrible - purple and green! All I got was the chain cleaner.

Wasn't sure about the socks. I don't normally spend £2 on a single pair of socks.

i paid them a visit a lunch time but didn't buy anything. only really wanted a few pair of the cheap glasses but they they had a stupid rubber rim on them. i'll wait for the aldi gear, much better IMO.

that tool kit was decent though and the socks are a bargin.

Bought spoke reflectors, tool kit, bar ends, torch. Guess what the front light bracket is the same as Smart! Lights are so-so, not too sure about being waterproof. Ok for £6 though, plus they have reflectors.

Didnt have much in the one I went in at 8:30 on Oxford Rd Reading

only one in each size of the mens shorts, ladies shorts, gloves, mens & ladies jackets, 2 in each size of the socks, about 20 bike locks, 20 lights, 20 pumps, 20 small toolkits, 40 bar ends, 40 big toolkits and 20 glasses

I got 2 pairs socks, glasses & shorts (which will prob go back)

Dont know if they hadnt put all the stock out, didnt get much or were rushed by people buying it all up early but leaving a few odd bits behind.

    They didnt have any reflectors

The stupid rubber rim on the glasses comes off by the way

I bought the glasses and the grips. Glasses look good. That rubber rim is detachable and is meant for cold weather. I think they could be ideal MTB glasses for that reason!

I bought a chain cleaner, and a pair of glasses. Yep the foam can be removed but I'm gonna try them with to see how the fair. Good stock of gear on the Maidstone store. Very pleased with my purchases.
  • I got a pair of the socks, thinking you can't go wrong for 2 quid, and they look alright. Also got a pair of the glasses, thinking you can't go wrong for 8 quid, and they look a bit stupid to be honest. Still, it's not like I'll be able to see them when I'm wearing them, is it?

Grips are fab, however the end bars split when I was tightening them up (to 4nm) bolt.

  • I got socks shorts and the chain cleaner, Tested them all out! Shorts are a bit thin and the padding is not as good as my other "branded" pairs. Socks and chain cleaner are spot on. The tool kit I already have and it is more than adequate for the home user. Similar to the halfords tool kit but a bit cheaper.

tried the gloves on, then walked away... didn't feel as nice as my Fox or Speedstuff gloves, but then they were a quarter of the price!

Bought a chain cleaner but not tried it out yet.

Had a few things from them in the past though, and all have worked out top value..
