Good idea?

The other night I overtook a guy who had something like sleigh bells attached to his bike so he jingled as he went. I thought that was a pretty good idea. I previously relied on my loose front mudguard serving the same purpose but it fell off in traffic last night. Don't know if I have the balls to ride with bells on though.

    That would do my head in, I'm anal about every creak and rattle on my bike. Then again I suppose it would drown out every creak and rattle...hmmm?

    Are you sure it wasn't a reindeer on a bike.

    Curious question: How many points do you get for scalping a cycling reindeer? :lol:

    Can't you attach the bells to something else?

    To jingle the bells regularly you need to tie them to something that moves up and down. A set of morris men bells on one leg will do fine, if you can put up with the mockery.
    To err is human, but to make a real balls up takes a super computer.

    I have to admit, I've been looking at spokey dokeys on eBay, purely for the SCR comedy factor.

    You almost won with the spinners, but I trump you with spinners, a steering wheel and a leopard skin seat.

    This is officially (IMHO) the ugliest POS ever created with two wheels;

    Soon after I started commuting I passed an older lady on a bicycle with what sounded like little cow bells on her bike. For the next mile and a half all I could hear was these poxy cow bells not seeming to get any further away, taunting me with their little jingle jingle noises that in my head were saying "you can barely scalp a little old lady"
    So if you do get bells you need to look slow but move fast to get maximum benefit.
