Bowland cycling- pretty sure I've been ripped off

Does anyone have any experience with this shop/online retailer?

I placed an order for a Gore gilet last Tuesday and got no order confirmation or anything via email although the money came out of my bank account straight away (paid by debit card). So I pinged them an email to check that they'd got the order and that it was being processed but I've had no response to this. So I've tried ringing them a few times this week and there is no answer.

And no sign of the Gilet.

Just checked their webiste and it doesn't look good. :?

I don't want to go tarnishing their name prematurely but it looks like they've stopped trading and have carried on taking people's money. Any idea what my options are (if any)?

Hmmm, just the one post to promote their site. I've sent a PM anyway although I'll not hold out too much hope.

    Cheers for that.

A brief google gives a mobile contact number. Not sure if there's a different one on the site (the site is blocked at work for some reason)

Wow, you're quite the detective! :D

I've tried it and it rang and then went to voicemail. I'll keep trying.

    Thanks again.

Did you pay by credit card? If so request a refund from credit card comapny and ask them to investigate. If you paid by Debit card or paypal different story.

    *slaps forehead*

I should've called the bank before wasting people's time here.

Like you Sketchley I thought I was screwed because I'd paid by debit card but I called the bank anyway on the off chance they could do anything and because I have a Visa debit card I'm covered. I just have to wait 15 days (which includes the 7 that have already passed) and asuming the item hasn't turned up I can get the money back anyway.

    Thanks anyway folks

Yeah "chargeback" seems to be possible with most debit cards now as well as credit cards.
