    Oh dear.

I assume it was going downhill - never been a strength of his.

I remember him at the 2006 Giro descending in the rain like he'd just had his stabilizers taken off. God knows what he would have made Crostis.

Damn. Hope he's back fighting fit for the tour. Need everyone there at fill strength, I'd love it to be a 6 or 7 horse race rather than 1 or 2...

We can only hope! If Contador isn't there then there is a fair chance of that.

He was a few seconds ahead of Piepolli at the top and about a minute behind at the bottom wasn' he?
  • I assume he'll be alright and this won't affect his tour prep, probably a few less modelling contracts coming his way though. What was he doing training on Mount Etna? It's miles from where he lives. Maybe his riding a shadow Giro because he's scared of racing against the true champion.

He's probably training there to get the altitude benefits.

Last night in the ice hockey game, San Jose Sharks vs. Vancouver Canucks a high stick cut into the face of one of the players, San Jose I think, a straight cut, will surely need some stitches to the cheek area. For Basso's sake, that sounds like a fortunate injury compared to what it could be.

I heard this guy say the Peloton should use mirrors, I don't think they do and nothing will probably change that though it is food for thought.

They don't use mirrors. I can't figure out what the advantage might be either; worry about the rider (and his wheel) in front!
