  • johnnyashworth is very quiet...bearing in mind his baiting sowed the idea of this challenge!

Or has the fact that more and more people are doing sub 30 min loops put him off?

God, I thought I was doing quite well, but  today I timed it at 52mins- mind you, that did include a 5?min cigg stop!

    That cracked me up :P
5 mins is too slow for one fag, must have been two power fags.

I really tried today and got time down to 39mins, the only stop being about 90secs half way up the fire road to put heart back in chest, have a quick whiff of oxygen from my portable cannister and glue my false teeth in again.I should imagine that the fire road is where the speed gods can knock a good 5mins off. Has anyone got any times for the blue trail? It took me 51 mins today (both loops & to the rules) I was a bit knackered after the red.

I ride haldon fairly regular(once a week) as it pretty much on my door step and way home from work.
Thought i was doing fairly well at under 45 mins including black section, although i know a few places i could shave a fair bit of time off, like not stopping for a breather after walking up from the bottom of the black to the top of the black(last bit is silly steep!) before riding up the fire road
