VIttoria latex innertubes - rate of pressure loss ?

Just bought a pack of five latex innertubes for my race (Tri/TT) wheels, i gather latex tubes are subject to greater loss of pressure than butyl tubes.

Supposed to be doing the UK Ironman 70.3 in June and apparently the bike needs to be left in transition overnight, my concern is how much pressure will i lose in that time ?

Vittoria recommend pre-filling latex tubes with their pit-stop sealant to help reduce air loss and obviously for flat prevention, anyone done this and had any joy ?

My Vittoria tubs have Latex tubes in them, they take about a week to deflate them.

Overnight will probably be ok, will you not have access to a pump after the overnight?
  • was thinking of chucking my track pump in the old transition box, you can never be too prepared right ..

or maybe over inflate the tyres to 115 PSI then if i did lose 10-15 PSI overnight I'll still be good to go.

My Michelin latex tubes lose around 10psi over 24 hours I reckon.

Oh and your Garmin link doesn't work - you need to be signed in as you to follow that link (when I click on it it just takes me to my Garmin dashboard).

    You need this link: http://connect.garmin.com/explore?owner ... name_here'

Don't do that - it removes the benefit of having latex tubes I suspect.

You can inflate your tires again race day morning, even though you had to leave the bike there the night before.
