Blood on the track

Lost my virginity last night at the Velodrome folks. One rider lost momentum (and grip) on the banking and four of us hit the deck at a pretty good lick – full on trainwreck.
One walked away unscathed, one poor girl sliced her arm up quite nastily, one had minor grazes and I left about eight square inches of arse on the track. OK, only friction burns and a bruised coccyx in truth, but this morning I’m walking like I’m real friendly with Bubba from the SingSing shower block.
Two weeks off, then the next course starts. Can’t wait!

Phew - no splinters.
Getting into track normally means riding around with comparitive n00bs, and ultimately you get caught up in some else's oopsy. I found it hard to trust them until a few sessions and I could recognise a few faces. Some wheels/battles I won't hold, must be getting old.FCN16 - 1970 BSA Wayfarer

I've come off at slow speed after my gorup had eased off as the other group (team pursuit exercise) stacked it. Just lost traction from 1/3 of the way up, and down I went. Massive burn holes in both arms, and burnt elbows.
I've left big patches of backside in places, but usually tarmac, not track.0 -
did you actually write oopsy?
