CX purists look away now...
Here's my commuter / winter / CX bike (yes I do intend to race it - no more slogging my MTB round the course) put together on a budget from mostly 2nd hand parts, leftovers from my KInesis T2 build up and a few new bits where required.
Its flat bar because a) I had the parts b) I prefer them for riding in traffic but I wouldn't rule out fitting drops in the future. I'm dead chuffed with it, its lovely to ride and looks pretty good to my eyes.
Spec:
Crosslight Pro5 frame, Aprebic carbon fork
Mavic CXP22 rims on Tiagra hubs
Sram Apex 48/34 chainset, deore front, 105 rear mech, 11-28 cassette, R443 shifters
Easton stem and bars
Shimano BR450 brakes with Diacompe levers.
