Hi,

As the title says; a few of us have planned a weekend of trails mayhem and are looking for a location where there would be enough for us to do in 3 days. (whether it be all at one trail or a few nearby).

I've been wanting to do Lee Quarry for years now, but I can't see that there are any other trails/trail centres in that area, am I being a blind oaf?

Any input is always appreciated!

albo.

Thanks for the input you two!... Some input more useful than others...

Cannock would be a good idea to do on the way, or way back, as I'm travelling from Suffolk.

I've just noticed how close it is to the Peaks... So can anyone recommend two of the most fun northern peak district rides?

    Thanks again.

If you're doing the peaks, then this site sells great little maps; http://www.bikemaps.co.uk/peak_district.htm

The Ladybower and Edale routes are good.
    A Flock of Birds
    + some other bikes.
  • lots & lots of route maps, ideas, etc in this guidebook http://www.roughrideguide.co.uk/UK-Brea ... -size.html

Planning a long weekend in the Peaks soon myself :D

Cut Gate is a must do. Stay in the village Hope and you can't go far wrong.

If its dry. There are others, better and longer if its wet :)
  • there is Cragg quarry nearby which you can link with Lee Quarry. see http://adrenaline-gateway.co.uk/LeeQuarry.aspx

Sorry, yes I was presuming it would still be dry for Cut Gate. Getting to used to this dry weather already :D
