Carrera Fury.
It uses X5 shifters and derailleur.
A branch on the ground won the battle and bent it.
Is it like for like or can I fit X7 or X9 or shimano etc etc.
If I can fit another which do people recommend?

replace with a Sram numbered mech.

But first make sure that it is not only the mech hanger that has bent.

x5, x7, or x9 without changing the shifters.

Doesn't X3 use the 1:1 ratio too or is there some other incompatibility?

x3 if you like, but that would be a downgrade.

True, but we don't know about budget here.

Have run all the X3-X9 rear mechs on various bikes, and to be honest apart from shinyness (and maybe a tiny bit of weight) I can't REALLY tell the difference in use.

I love the bling of my X9, but X7 might be best cost/looks/weight compromise?

How come not XX or X0? I assumed all SRAM mechs were compatible.

Ten speed mechs wil not work properly. This inlcudes the new x7 and x9 (and X0 and XX).
