Wow, that's a lot of bike for a beginner.

If you're into the Campagnolo style shifters, etc, then you're in for a treat. I don't know enough to comment on alternatives within the same price bracket so I'll make way for those who do.

I tested that bike and the orbea onix t105. Both great bikes but don't know anything about them. I just want a really good bike to start with then I don't have to buy another bike in the future if u know what I mean. I just can't decided between the two. Cheers for the reply.

For £1899 I would expect better wheels & groupset

Cant say I like the styling too much either

Fair enough mate. What would u recomend around that price range? What's the orbea onix t105 like? Cheers

I've got an Orbea (Orca) and one of the reasons I chose it was because of the frame warranty. There are a few people on here who have the Onix and the spec on this one looks good for £1639.

Post up a thread asking about the Onix, I'm sure one of the owners will reply. Whatever you chose good luck and have a test ride before you chose, if at all possible.

ive got a izoard as my first proper road bike and i think its a great ride. Saves the immediate need to upgrade. It will do you for what you need then if you get bitten by the bug for something more top end later but i they ride great. ive got the campag carbon set on mine had lots of problems with it but its finally sorted now thanks to a new lever on the right. Buy it with a warrenty and enjoy

Its a lot of bike for a beginner. You could easily spend half that and not notice any less performance.

Ride a few bikes if you can against each other to see what they feel like. What experience do you have of bikes ?

I see that you dont want to buy another bike in the future - it doesnt usually work out like that ! ;-)

I'd check out bikes at round about a grand and test a few of those. Differences to the expensive one will be minimal, and you'll be left with £800 or so.

Assuming that £800 doesnt get eaten up on kit, I'd use that to buy a cheaper winter bike come October time. Full guards for comfort and then you're not messing up your pride and joy - a winter can be hard on a bike.
