Good evening,
Having stuck a rear hub motor into an old 3 x 9 speed mountain bike hardtail, i'm finding that I can't pedal fast enough to offer any decent assistance on my daily commute, thus draining the battery to quickly. I'm currently using a shimano deore 44t outer chainring and was hoping to switch this to a 54(ish) road style ring, but having trouble finding a 4 bolt version.
My commute is pretty flat so I wouldn't need to switch down to a middle/inner ring and could therefore live without a front mech.
Does anyone manufacture a larger shimano compatible 4-bolt chainring or should i be looking for another solution to offer pedal assistance?
Many thanks.

48T is the biggest readily available."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."
