How do you pack your Kit...

... In your jerseys?
I HATE saddle bags etc, so cram everything into my jersey pockets which makes me look like a Ninja Turtle.
Pocket 1] Food.
Pocket 2] Inner tube / Mini Tool / Tyre Levers
Pocket 3] iPhone with Runkeeper / money.
Pump fitted to frame however I am buying a Lezyne Mini Pressure pump - again for the pockets!
I put the tube tools and levers in a plastic bag - I could do with a sack of some sort, is there anything out there?

Depends on what you use to keep hydrated0 -
I stick it all [kit] in a condom and swallow it.
Just avoid X ray machines or dogs.0 -

Time for a rethink perhaps? Clip stuff to your bike and pack tools etc., in a small saddle bag. Otherwise - "cowabunga dude".Purveyor of "up"0 -
I use
store more than a jersey, keep it dry, no need to pack it all in and take it all out before & after each ride, and every bit as comfortable (I'm entirely unaware of wearing it).
Keep inners, CO2 cartridges, levers, patches etc in side pocket
Wallet, phones, micro-pump, emergency foil blanket, featherlite waterproof, food, other clothing - all in the middle bit.
Work badge in other pocket for commute (ideal height for work barrier)ROAD < Scott Foil HMX Di2, Volagi Liscio Di2, Jamis Renegade Elite Di2, Cube Reaction Race > ROUGH0 -

pocket 1)
gillet& bannana
pocket 2)
two canisters/green adaptor - cant remember make,£5, spare nunn, puncture kit, mini tool (alien 8?) all in a neat leather wallet bought for £1.99 form the market -plenty of room for gels/food.
Pocket 3)
mini pump/phone
the above provides for everything other than a broken chain and takes no space
Tiny bag under saddle that only holds a spare tube and flat levers. - never comes off bike and can hardly be seen. continental and a few other tire co's make them.0 -

Water, what do you use? Yellow water?0 -
Why do you hate saddle bags? They're much more comfortable than packing all that stuff on the jersey..0
-
They look ugly, they rattle and the zips always eventually sieze up!
I just use the jersey pockets - middle pocket for spare tube, co2 and cannister, left pocket for waterproof jacket (very thin one) and phone and right pocket for food and keys.0 -
Pocket 1:
Wallet with racing licenses, ID, debit card and money.
Phone
Keys
Pocket 2:
Innertube
Multitool
Pocket 3:
Food. 2-3 oat bars, if up to 100km. Anything above and it's usually a Soreen malt loaf.
In the saddle bag is a second tube, tyre levers, a chain tool, and a KMC missing link. I have a folding mini track pump which gets up to 100psi attached to the frame, but could fit in the pocket if need be.
Haven't needed to take my waterproof with me yet this Spring.0 -

Had a saddle bag for first few months then figured, what was the point having an aero seat tube and a brick hanging behind it.
Had one of these http://www.wiggle.co.uk/lifesystems-poc ... -aid-pack/
Dumped out the first aid stuff, first aid is to the bike. Fits a tube, patches, tool, chain link, money, keys. Keeps it all tidy.
CO2 pump in another pocket and banana and rain cape in another. Swear I can feel the difference on all these windy days, and no accidentally leaving something in the pocket in the wash, or worse... on the table when you need it on the road.
Reckon I can cut the multi tool down to a, chain tool, 2 allen keys (will do 90% 0f bolts) Philips head to fit on allen key. This should half multi tool weight. Last thing is, I wear my phone with sportstracker on arm, frees up a pocket.MTB HardTail: GT Aggressor XC2 '09

Not so easy with this ISP and seat combo!

I try to avoid carrying anything in the jersey that is going to make a hole in my back in the event of fall. However, I too don't like using a saddle bag, but I will when the weather conditions dictate it.
(Pocket 1) waterproof, wet gloves, arm warmers
(pocket 2) 2 spare innertubes, repair kit (just in case I'm really unlucky
(pocket 3) food, mobile, ID & donor cards
I've got a Lezyne pump carried on one of the bottle cages and if the weather is undecided I'll take a saddle bag with overshoes and stick the tubes, repair kit etc in that.I ride a bike. Doesn't make me green or a tree hugger. I drive a car too.0 -

Do you use a Fizik saddle? If you do they sell the saddle bag that clips to the bottom of the saddle, it's what I use.
obviously all my pump, tube, levers etc go in my saddle bag.
Then in one pocket it's another spare tube, phone with I.D, cash and card.
Pocket 2: Keys, Gillet, arm warmers or jacket depending on the weather.
Pocket 3: All my food.***** Pro Tour Pundit Champion 2020, 2018, 2017 & 2011 *****0 -
I've just gone up in size with my Spesh saddle bag.
I know I'm still moving the same weight but I'd rather not have it in my pockets.
Bag has 3 tubes, tyre levers, multi tool, phone, ID, cash
Couple of gels in one pocket, couple of bars in another with my windproof/showerproof in the middle....weather depending.0 -
Saddle bag for the multi-tool and spare tubes every time. It saves filling/emptying pockets and forgetting stuff and it's easy to switch between bikes. I hardly ever open it but I like to know it's all there. Any stuff I need closer to hand (food, phone etc) goes in the pocket.
Anyone who thinks it's more 'pro' to ride without a bag is deluded. Even pros ride with saddlebags when riding unsupported: http://youtu.be/vpKArLtAiqU0 -
Rozzer no I have a Prologo Saddle at the moment, however thanks for the info, I was going to go down the black and white colour scheme and the Fizik range was on the radar.0

I don't like to carry anything in back pockets unless it's really soft (apart from that I don't often have back pockets because I usually cycle in running gear which keeps you cooler).
I only carry one drink bottle and plan my rides to I can get more water if I need it, so the second bottle holds spare tubes, tools - anything bike related - and I have a small saddlebag for phone, money, keys, etc. I haven't needed to carry a jacket since I've lived in Spain, but I used to just roll it into a tube and tie it around my waist.0 -
Put everything in a tennis ball tube... Take the label off and it doesnt look look too bad, I put pump, jacket, arm warmers, keys, repair kit and cash in it no problems. Plus, you can also wrap a map around the inside...if you use a see through tube.0

Heres a link to the Fizik saddle bag http://www.wiggle.co.uk/fizik-pak-ics-saddle-bag-with-clip-medium/
You can see what I mean with the clip. Also makes transferring it between bikes easy. Obviously you need Fizik saddles on all of them though.***** Pro Tour Pundit Champion 2020, 2018, 2017 & 2011 *****0 -
That's a good idea!0

If you don't have a Fizik saddle, then how about one of these?
http://www.topeak.com/products/WedgePacksQuickClick
and then you can buy spare clips for any additional bikes.
http://www.topeak.com/products/Xtras
I have two of the wedge packs, one medium sized and one small with different amounts of tools in each, then just swap them around the 3 road bikes I have.0 -
What is the durability like on the topeak clips??
they look like a brittle plastic thatll snap - then your buggered!
Currently i use a very old small spesh saddle bag, that just uses a strap to go around your saddle rails, and velcro around the seat stem, but looking to upgrade to something a bit bigger to fit some cO2 Canisters in there as well0 -
I also have one of these Topeak Wedge packs but with straps rather than clips:
http://www.topeak.com/products/Wedge-Packs-Strap
I just thought the clips looked more bother and possibly heavier. With the straps you can transfer easily between bikes without additional clips.0
