Cycling shorts inseam query.

Hi guys,
I've just recently returned to the world of cycling (purely for pleasure
) and I decide to invest in some new shorts. I decide on a pair of the Atura pro gel, but I was really disappointed when I tried them on as I resembled a throwback to the 70's.
( The silicon leg grippers caused the leg of the shorts to flare out above the knee,
not a good look )
My old faithful shorts don't have grippers and measure about the same inseam 8" and they fit OK.
Does anyone have any recommendations for a pair of shorts for the vertically challenged ( I'm 5' 2") or do I just have to look for shorts with no leg grippers.
