Chain slipping badly - help needed

Hi

Serviced the rear wheel - replaced bearings and regreased.
Replaced the chain - KMC 8 speed
Replaced the Cassette - SRAM 8 speed

Getting a major bit of slipping when weight is put on the pedals. Finding this really frustrating as I thought it was a worn cassette which I have now changed.

I struggle a bit with things like chainline so any advice would be gladly taken.

I can add some pics of the chainline, mech and front chain ring...(could that be worn) if someone can point out how to do it

Many thanks

Dave

Depends where it's slipping - bit more info would help.

its hard to tell when Im riding it myself

Ill get my mate to ride it and confirm then I will get back to you

Hopefully the front chain ring as that will make it more simple

If the old chain and cassette were badly worn, then it will be the new chain slipping over the ancient chainrings.
Chainline is as good as standard on MTBs. No point mucking about with it.

It is an Edinburgh bikes Hybrid with one chain ring at the front and 8 speed at the rear.

I will try changing the front chainring...fingers crossed
