Hi

I have one of these coming next week:

http://www.canyon.com/_uk/mountainbikes ... tml?b=2084

Can anyone suggest some PSI settings for the fork and shock?

I am 12 stone / 77kg / 170lbs fully clothed and am 6'4" (if height makes any difference?!?)

I know sag should be around a 1/4 of the travel etc but was after some actual PSI level suggestions.

The fork is a Fox 32 Talas FIT RL 150mm and the shock is the RP2 Boost Valve XXV 140mm.

Thanks for your help!

you set the pressure to give the sag you need. you dont need any numbers.

sag can be anything from 50-20% depending on the bike and the rider.

fo that type of bike anything from 30-20% would not be wrong.

Also have a watch of the How to set your suspension videos of Foxes webby.

again you dont need any numbers. BUT when you have set it to how you like then the numbers can be useful.

As you prob know, the Canyon comes with the forks deflated but they supply a shock pump for you to use. I've got the 120mm forks on my XC and found that 100 psi equates to about 25% sag. I'm the same weight as you at 12 stone.

My riding is natural trails (no jumps) and I found that setting a bit firm for my taste and also I wasn't using much of the travel. I've now dropped to a soft 80 psi which I prefer and I use most of the travel without bottoming out. The sag is about 30%.

The rear shock comes already inflated and I find the mid-setting of around 150 psi feels good for me and my riding and gives about 25% sag. The max for my RP2 120 is 300 psi.

For the AM you'll probably want it all a bit stiffer than me but start off with 25% sag and the rebound damping on the mid-settings and then adjust up or down as you get a feel for it.
