I've been roped into doing the Caledonian Challenge this year. Its a 54 mile/24 hour walk along the West Highland Way. I'm not even allowed a bike! Walking ... strewth. Anyway, I reckon I'll have sore feet after all that. It's to raise money for local charidee (Scottish Community Foundation), too.

Am I going to be excessively frowned upon for trying to blag sponsorship on here?
Oh well, hell with it  , if you're feeling vaguely generous, donations welcome here: http://www.caledonianchallenge.com/teams/AgonyofDaFeetPartdeux (I didn't make up the name - but it's a good one!)

Good luck, just did maggies bike & hike which is along the Glen co way, 30 miles mtb and 43 miles walking.

Christ walking is boring and just so slow

We got most of the sponsorship via suppliers

Before the days of MTBs, one challenge was to ride the WHW on a bike in a day - this pretty well meant you needed to carry it all the way from Inversnaid to Crianlarach
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

I rode it on a fully rigid MTB in the late 80s, took 4 days tho' !
